Our Commitment to Your Protection
When you hire a contractor, you aren't just paying for labor; you are investing in your property. Huitron Contractors LLC is fully registered, insured, and bonded in the State of Washington (UBI: 604 372 637).
What Does Being "Bonded" Mean for You?
In Washington State, a contractor's bond is a financial guarantee required by the Department of Labor and Industries (L&I). It serves as a safety net for homeowners. Because we are registered as a General Contractor, we maintain a $30,000 Continuous Surety Bond (Bond No. 7901229297).
Why Our $30,000 Bond Matters
As of July 1, 2024, Washington increased the bond requirement for general contractors to $30,000 to better protect consumers. This bond ensures that there are funds available if a contractor:
• Breaches a contract or fails to complete agreed-upon work.
• Performs negligent or improper work that causes damage.
• Fails to pay for labor or materials, which could otherwise lead to a lien on your property.
The Risk of Hiring "Unbonded" Help
Hiring an unregistered or "under the table" worker might seem cheaper initially, but it carries significant risks:
• No Recourse: If the work is subpar or the project is abandoned, you have no bond to claim against.
• Liability: You may be held responsible for injuries on your property or unpaid supplier bills.
• Verification: You can verify our active standing and bond status at any time via the L&I Verify a Contractor tool.
Our Insurance Coverage
Beyond our bond, we also maintain General Liability Insurance. While the bond protects you from contract breaches, our insurance protects you from accidental property damage or bodily injury that might occur during the project.
How to Verify Us
Transparency is one of our core values. You can view our current registration, bond details with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, and insurance history by searching for Huitron Contractors LLC on the Washington L&I website.
